FAQ

  • How much does supervision cost?

Rates vary per supervisor, based on their experience and expertise. The range is currently $60/hr-$120/hr. Payment structure is flexible, as we provide pay-as-you-go options as well as monthly payment options. The total cost of your supervision will depend on whether you are doing Fieldwork or Concentrated Fieldwork, and how many hours you are accruing per month.

  • What does supervision include?

For a practicum student accruing the maximum of 130 hours per month and completing the regular practicum experience (not concentrated), you will receive 6.5 hours per month from your BCBA supervisor (5%). Typically, this would look like: 4 hours per month of meetings or other direct communications, at least 1 observation per month, and 1.5-2h of preparing and reviewing assignments and providing feedback. Supervision will be individualized, so the above is just a typical example.

  • Do I need to work in an Autism Clinic?

No. There are various settings that are appropriate for accrual of experience hours. You will need to work somewhere that you will have access to clients who will consent to observations, videos, and inclusion in your practicum assignments. Clients do not necessarily need to be children or have any particular diagnosis. According to the BACB, "A client is anyone (i.e., a person or a group of people) who receives behavior-analytic services in any setting" (child, parent, organization, etc). The client may not be related to you, and you may not be their subordinate (they can't be your boss).

  • Can I have multiple supervisors?

Yes! You may have more than one practicum experience supervisor, as long as you maintain a supervision agreement with each supervisor.

  • What is your current pass rate for supervisees participating in your program?

The pass rate is 100%. All supervisees completing their fieldwork practicum supervision under contract with me have passed the exam!

  • I'm really busy... do I have time for this?

We provide virtual/distance supervision for busy adults at any stage in their supervision journey. I offer flexible meeting times and practical assignments that can be completed on your own time.

  • What are the requirements to get started?

In order to begin accruing practicum experience, you must have started your coursework in Behavior Analysis and provide proof of this. Once you start your first class, reach out! We will guide you through applying to my program, scheduling an introduction meeting, and signing the supervision agreement to begin. We will get to know you and your needs in order to individualize your experience.

  • How does remote/virtual supervision work?

Your fieldwork supervisor will set up meetings with you via Microsoft Teams or other virtual meeting software to meet your monthly contact requirements. You will be required to record a client for your monthly observations and upload into our HIPAA compliant virtual storage app. Your supervisor may also choose to observe in real time via Teams.

  • Do you offer unrestricted activities?

Yes! Most of the activities we provide are unrestricted. We have authored our own unique curriculum to provide task list learning and practical assignments, with an estimate of number of hours that may be accrued for each assignment so that you can plan out your month. Our supervisors are trained to provide creative unrestricted options for learners in all kinds of settings.
